Meet Lindsay Ehlers-Moore: Forecasting Manager

A cat parent and Iowa native, Lindsay Ehlers-Moore was a natural addition to the Kent Pet Group team when she joined as a project manager eight years ago. Since then, she has evolved to become the Forecasting Manager for KPG, making sure products are adequately available for all incoming orders.

“The employees here care about making sure we are providing the best product. We won’t put our name on it if it isn’t the best,” said Lindsay. “Knowing that we produce a valuable product that is good for pets, people, and the planet. It makes coming into work every day much better.”

Communication is Key

Lindsay’s favorite pet project at KPG so far has been her working to employ a successfully-proven planning strategy called Integrated Business Planning (IBP.)

“IBP helps us plan for the future by bridging discussions of the “here and now” tactics with the longer term strategy,” she said.

Lindsay fills a vital role as a communication conduit for the team, keeping all team members informed and aware of upcoming plans. IBP is an important aspect of this role. “IBP helps provide continuous communication in our scheduled monthly meetings with the different departments spotlights plans, assumptions influencing timing for demand, and how it will ultimately affect our supply,” said Lindsay. “The recommendations from marketing, production, finance, procurement, transportation, supply chain and sales are taken to our executive team.“

Living Her Best Life

Lindsay loves to travel with her family, try new things and eat interesting foods. She also enjoys giving back, by volunteering with an organization called National TTT Society that helps to send girls to camp.

At home Lindsay’s own cat, a regal, 12-year-old named Graham Cracker, uses World’s Best Cat Litter™ Lavender Scented Clumping formula. “It’s safe around my family and is made from renewable ingredients,” said Lindsay. “Plus, it works amazingly well (hence the name.)”

Thanks for eight amazing years, Lindsay!
