Kent Pet Group Promotes Steve Gordon to President

Kent Pet Group is excited to introduce you to its new president, Steve Gordon — a proud family man and outdoorsman who said he is looking forward to helping lead KPG into the future of natural pet products.

Having served as the VP of Marketing for the last three years, Steve is taking over for Mike Eversmeyer, who was also recently promoted to President at Kent Precision Food Group. Congrats, Mike! We will miss you.

As the leader of KPG marketing efforts for the last three years, Steve said he’s excited about the potential for company growth in the years to come.

“Kent Pet Group has strong entrepreneurial spirit and readiness to grow,” he said. “This is an exciting opportunity to help create a leading natural pet products company – one that believes pets make us better people.”

Meet Kota

The success of KPG’s flagship litter brand, World’s Best Cat Litter™, has shown what can happen when you differentiate yourself from other brands by being compassionate, hard-working, and sustainably-minded, he said.

“World’s Best is unique in that it provides the best care scenario for cats – it’s clean, safe, and non-toxic for your pet while at the same time providing amazing odor control and ease-of-clean benefits for the family,” he said. “Add sustainable to the list and you can’t find that combination of care and performance from any other litter.”

Steve said he also credits the KPG team for its incredible dedication to building the brand over the years.

“This is a tremendous team with genuine, kind, and hardworking people – which makes Kent an amazing place to work.”

A native of Orem, Utah, Steve is a proud alumnus of Brigham Young University (Go Cougars!) and holds an MBA from the University of Iowa. Before joining KPG, he spent 13 years working for ACH Food Companies on their food and ingredient brands.

Outside of KPG, Steve enjoys spending time with his family and doing nearly anything outdoors – most notably running, backpacking, and biking. He’s also very active in the local church community and enjoys coaching youth soccer.

The Gordon family also recently welcomed a new member  – an energetic English Shepherd named Kota.

Congratulations, Steve!
