Meet Becky Anson: Customer Service Representative

After earning rock star status, a career in customer service was a big lifestyle change for Becky Anson.

However, Becky still manages to find fulfillment in her work as a Customer Service Representative at Kent Pet Group, despite the industry jump.

A Professional Leap

 
Before joining KPG, Becky lived a highly creative, adventurous lifestyle both as a school photographer/photo manager and a vocalist for a rock band. In 22 years as a photographer, Becky won several national photography awards. She also had significant achievements in her music, releasing two CDs and opening multiple shows for nationally touring bands.

In her spare time, Becky was able to complete a few college courses that aided in her later career transition, while maintaining a plethora of hobbies ranging from cooking to gardening and volunteering – something she has carried into her career at Kent Pet Group by acting as co-captain for the Kent Pet Group Relay for Life team through the American Cancer Society.

When Becky set out to make a professional change, her husband had been with KPG for over 30 years and she held the company in high esteem – thinking it would “be a good place to start.” Little did she know, she would still be with Kent Pet Group over seven and a half years later.

Engaged and Connected

 
As a Customer Service Representative, Becky works closely with the Sales Team as an inside sales rep, connecting with and assisting their accounts throughout the US and Canada. However, the most important aspect of her job, she said, is “Listening!”

“We live in a world where customer service doesn’t always mean a consumer gets to speak to a live voice to express their feedback or receive adequate assistance when reaching out to a company,” she said. “Delivering this experience is something we pride ourselves on and is greatly appreciated!”

For Becky, making a difference in a pet owner’s day is the most enjoyable part of her job. “I love challenging situations where I can help a consumer overcome their frustrations and leave them completely satisfied in the end,” she said.
